VACUUM PUMP(for V35A-FTS) ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE HOOD TO COWL TOP SEAL

  2. REMOVE CENTER NO. 2 COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER

    Click here

  3. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  4. OPERATION CHECK

      *a Retainer
      B006AHR Pinch
      B006B42 Pull off

      Pinch the retainer of the connector, and then pull the connector off of the vacuum pump assembly.

      Note

      Be sure to disconnect the connector by hand.

    2. B006D8SC02
      *a Vacuum Gauge
      *b Plug

      Connect the hose of the vacuum gauge to the vacuum pump assembly.

    3. Start the engine and warm it up for more than 2 minutes.

    4. With the engine idling, check the vacuum of the vacuum pump assembly.

      Standard Pressure
      More than 86.7 kPa (650 mmHg, 25.6 in.Hg)

      If the pressure is less than the standard, disassemble and inspect the vacuum pump. If necessary, replace the vacuum pump assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Always perform this operation check procedure after replacing or servicing the vacuum pump assembly.

    5. Remove the vacuum gauge from the vacuum pump assembly.

    6. Align the connector with the vacuum pump assembly, and push them together until the connector makes a "click" sound.

      Note


      • Check that there is no foreign matter on the connecting parts.

      • After connecting the connector, check that the vacuum pump assembly and connector are securely connected by pulling on them.

  5. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  7. INSTALL HOOD TO COWL TOP SEAL
