RELAY ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT STARTER RELAY (ST)


    1. A004OAIE01

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3 - 5 Battery voltage not applied to terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher
      Battery voltage applied to terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the starter relay.

  2. INSPECT ACC RELAY (ACC)


    1. A004OAIE01

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3 - 5 Battery voltage not applied to terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher
      Battery voltage applied to terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the ACC relay.

  3. INSPECT GLOW RELAY


    1. A004Q8M

      Remove the bolt.

    2. Disconnect the connector and remove the glow relay.

    3. A004Q3CE06

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 2 Battery voltage not applied to terminals 3 and 4 10 kΩ or higher
      Battery voltage applied to terminals 3 and 4 Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the glow relay.

    4. Connect the connector.

    5. Install the glow relay with the bolt.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 178 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }
