AIR COOLED OIL COOLER REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH

    Click here

  3. DRAIN AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID

  4. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER

  5. REMOVE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER AIR DUCT

      Remove the 2 bolts and transmission oil cooler air duct from the oil cooler assembly.

  6. REMOVE NO. 1 TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER HOSE ASSEMBLY

      Detach the clamp from the oil cooler bracket.

    2. Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 1 transmission oil cooler hose assembly from the transmission oil thermostat.

      Note

      Use a container to catch any fluid which flows out of the No. 1 transmission oil cooler hose assembly and transmission oil thermostat.

      Detach the clamp from the No. 1 transmission oil cooler hose assembly.

    4. Slide the 2 clips and remove the No. 1 transmission oil cooler hose assembly from the transmission oil cooler and automatic transaxle assembly.

      Note

      Use a container to catch any fluid which flows out of the No. 1 transmission oil cooler hose assembly, transmission oil cooler and automatic transaxle assembly.

  7. REMOVE TRANSMISSION OIL THERMOSTAT

      Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the transmission oil thermostat from the oil cooler assembly.

    2. Slide the 2 clips and remove the transmission oil thermostat from the 2 transmission oil cooler hoses.

      Note

      Use a container to catch any fluid which flows out of the transmission oil cooler hose.

      Slide the 2 clips and remove the 2 transmission oil cooler hoses.

  8. REMOVE OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY


    1. B008IP6

      Remove the 2 bolts and oil cooler bracket from the oil cooler assembly and vehicle body.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and oil cooler assembly from the oil cooler bracket and vehicle body.

    3. B008HG5

      Remove the 2 bolts and oil cooler bracket from the vehicle body.
