    1. Heated Windshield Defroster System Operating Condition


      1. If the outside temperature is lower than 5 °C (41°F) when the front wiper deicer switch ispushed after engine start-up, the system operates the heated windshield defroster for 4minutes.

        Tech Tips


        • If the front wiper deicer switch is pressed when the outside temperature is 5°C (41°F) ormore, the heated windshield defroster system will not operate and the indicator of thefront wiper deicer switch will blink 5 times.

        • If a rear seat heater switch is pressed while the heated windshield defroster system isoperating, the rear seat heater request will be rejected by exclusive control and theindicator of the rear seat heater switch will blink 5 times. Additionally, if the front wiperdeicer switch is pressed while a rear seat heater is operating, the rear seat heater will beturned off and the heated windshield defroster system will start operating.
