HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY(for LHD) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Pass the hood lock control cable assembly into the engine compartment.

      *3	Hood Cable Grommet	*4	Matchmark

   2. Engage 6 clamps shown in the illustration.

2. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Apply MP grease to the sliding areas of the hood lock assembly.

   2. 

      Connect the hood lock control cable assembly to the hood lock assembly.

   3. 

      Install the hood lock assembly with the 3 bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:

      33 N*m  { 337 kgf*cm, 24 ft.*lbf }

3. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Connect the hood lock control cable assembly to install the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

   2. Install the hood lock control lever sub-assembly with the bolt

      Torque:

      7.5 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

4. INSPECT HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY

5. ADJUST HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY

6. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE

   Click here

7. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH

   Click here

8. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
