DESCRIPTION
If a malfunction (a rapid change in vehicle speed) in the vehicle speed signal being output from the brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU) is detected while the cruise control is in operation, the ECM determines there to be a momentary interruption or noise, and stores a DTC.

PROCEDURE
CHECK FOR DTC (VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM)
Check for DTCs.
Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRC > Trouble Codes

Vehicle stability control system DTCs are output GO TO VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM
CHECK FOR DTC (CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM)
Clear the DTCs.
Powertrain > Cruise Control > Clear DTCs
Perform the following to make sure the DTC detection conditions are met.
Tip:If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.
Drive the vehicle at a speed of 40 km/h (25 mph) or more.
Turn the cruise control switch on.
Push the cruise control switch to -SET to activate the cruise control.
Check for DTCs.
