DESCRIPTION

The airbag sensor assembly consists of the deceleration sensor, safing sensor, drive circuit, diagnosis circuit, ignition control, etc.

If the airbag sensor assembly receives signals from the deceleration sensor, it determines whether the airbags and pretensioners should be activated.

DTC B1000/31 is stored when a malfunction is detected in the airbag sensor assembly.

  1. CHECK DTC

    1. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Trouble Codes

      Note:

      If only DTC B1000/31 is output, do not clear the DTC and replace the airbag sensor assembly.

      Tip:

      If any DTCs other than DTC B1000/31 are also output, troubleshoot those DTCs first.
