ACCELERATOR PEDAL ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT ACCELERATOR PEDAL SENSOR ASSEMBLY

   1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

   3. Turn the GTS on.

   4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / Accel Sens. No.1 Volt % and Accel Sens. No.2 Volt %.

      Powertrain > Engine and ECT > Data List

      Tester Display
      Accel Sens. No.1 Volt %
      Accel Sens. No.2 Volt %

   5. Read the values displayed on the GTS.

      Standard Percentage

      Tester Display	Condition	Specified Condition
      Accel Sens. No.1 Volt %	Accelerator pedal fully released	10 to 25%
      	Accelerator pedal fully depressed	50 to 100%
      Accel Sens. No.2 Volt %	Accelerator pedal fully released	20 to 45%
      	Accelerator pedal fully depressed	68 to 100%

      If the result is not as specified, check the accelerator pedal sensor assembly, wire harness and ECM.
