GENERATOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, temporarily install the generator assembly with the 2 stud bolts.

    2. Tighten the 2 stud bolts.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }
    3. Install the 2 bolt and 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      43 N*m  { 438 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf }
    4. Install the wire harness bracket with the bolt.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }
    5. Attach the 4 clamps, connect wire harness and install the bolt.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }
    6. Connect the generator assembly connector.

    7. Connect the engine wire to the terminal B with the nut.

      Torque:
      12 N*m  { 122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }
    8. Install the terminal cap.

    9. Attach the clamp.

    10. Connect the engine wire with the bolt.

      Torque:
      21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }
    11. Attach the 2 clamps.

  2. INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

  3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
