NAME PLATE REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE BACK DOOR NAME PLATE

    Tip:

    When removing the back door name plate, heat the vehicle body and back door name plate using a heat light.

    20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note:

    Do not heat the vehicle body or back door name plate excessively.

      Wooden Block

      Put protective tape around the back door name plate.

    2. Insert piano wire between the vehicle body and back door name plate.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to the piano wire ends.

    4. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the back door name plate to the vehicle body.

      Note:

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    5. Remove the back door name plate.

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 BACK DOOR EMBLEM

    Tip:

    When removing the No. 1 back door emblem, heat the vehicle body and No. 1 back door emblem using a heat light.

    Note:

    Do not heat the vehicle body or No. 1 back door emblem excessively.

      Insert piano wire between the vehicle body and No. 1 back door emblem.

    2. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to the piano wire ends.

    3. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the No. 1 back door emblem to the vehicle body.

      Note:

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    4. Remove the No. 1 back door emblem.

  3. REMOVE NO. 4 BACK DOOR NAME PLATE

    Tip:

    When removing the No. 4 back door name plate, heat the lower back door outside garnish sub-assembly and No. 4 back door name plate using a heat light.

    Note:

    Do not heat the lower back door outside garnish sub-assembly or No. 4 back door name plate excessively.

    2. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to the piano wire ends.

    3. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the No. 4 back door name plate to the lower back door outside garnish sub-assembly.

      Note:

      Be careful not to damage the lower back door outside garnish sub-assembly.

    4. Remove the No. 4 back door name plate.

  4. REMOVE NO. 5 BACK DOOR NAME PLATE

    Tip:

    When removing the No. 5 back name plate, heat the back door panel and No. 5 back door name plate using a heat light.

    Note:

    Do not heat the back door panel or No. 5 back door name plate excessively.

    2. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to the piano wire ends.

    3. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the No. 5 back door name plate to the back door panel.

      Note:

      Be careful not to damage the back door panel.

    4. Remove the No. 5 back door name plate.

  5. REMOVE FRONT FENDER NO. 2 NAME PLATE

    Tip:

    When removing the front fender No. 2 name plate, heat the vehicle body and front fender No. 2 name plate using a heat light.

    Note:

    Do not heat the back door panel or front fender No. 2 name plate excessively.

    2. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to the piano wire ends.

    3. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the front fender No. 2 name plate to the vehicle body.

      Note:

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    4. Remove the front fender No. 2 name plate.

  6. REMOVE FRONT FENDER NO. 1 NAME PLATE

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure to remove the front fender No. 2 name plate on the other side.
