HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are installed, removed or replaced during the headlight assembly LH removal/installation are shown below.

Note

Even if the headlight assembly RH is replaced with a new one, vehicle information registration is not necessary.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY TOP LH


    1. Push the front tip of the front fender reinforcement top sub-assembly LH downwards to disconnect the hook.

      B006DHE Pull Forward

      Hold the area shown in the illustration and pull toward the rear of the vehicle to disconnect the clip from the base.

      Hold the area shown in the illustration and pull toward the inside of the vehicle to disconnect the clip from the base.

      Hold the area shown in the illustration and pull toward the rear of the vehicle to disconnect the clip from the base.

    5. Lift up the hood to cowl top seal to detach the claw.

      Hold the area shown in the illustration and pull toward the front of the vehicle to disconnect the clip from the base.

    7. Lower the rear end of the front fender reinforcement sub-assembly top LH and detach the hook toward the inside of the vehicle.

      Using a clip remover, detach the clip remaining on the vehicle and install the front fender reinforcement sub-assembly top LH.

      Note

      When detaching any clips remaining on the headlight assembly LH, do not damage the clip installation area.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the clip remover tip before use.

  3. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

      Apply protective tape around the headlight assembly LH.

      Release the connector lock lever and disconnect the connector.

      Remove the 2 bolts and 3 screws.

      B006DHE Slide Forward

      Place your hand on 2 brackets of the headlight assembly LH to disconnect them from the screw seats.

      Note

      Be careful not to break the bracket.

    5. Slide the headlight assembly LH toward the front of the vehicle and remove it.
