FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM (for 2WD) INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT FRONT SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER LH

    1. As shown in the illustration, move the ball joint stud back and forth 5 times before installing the nut.

    2. Using a torque wrench, turn the nut continuously at a rate of 3 to 5 seconds per turn and take the torque reading on the fifth turn.

      Turning torque
      0.29 to 4.5 N*m (3 to 46 kgf*cm, 3 to 40 in.*lbf) or less

    3. Check for any cracks and grease leak on the ball joint dust cover.
