REAR FLOOR AIRBAG SENSOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

  1. INSTALL REAR FLOOR SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR

    1. Turn the engine switch off.

    2. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

      CAUTION:

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

      Note:

      • After turning the engine switch off, waitingtime may be required before disconnectingthe cable from the battery terminal. Therefore,make sure to read the disconnecting thecable from the battery terminal notice beforeproceeding with work (Click hereClick hereClick here).

      • When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Click hereClick hereClick hereClick here)

    3. Install the rear floor airbag sensor with the bolt.

      9.0 N*m

      92 kgf*cm

      80 in.*lbf

      Note:

      • If the rear floor airbag sensor has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case, bracket or connector, replace it with a new one.

      • When installing the rear floor airbag sensor, be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with other parts and that it is not pinched between other parts.

    4. Check that is the rear floor airbag sensor not loose.

    5. Connect the connector.

  2. INSTALL REAR FLOOR SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR COVER

    1. Attach the clip and claw to install the cover.

    2. Return the floor carpet to its original position.

  7. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 FLOOR STEP COVER (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat)

  8. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SEAT ASSEMBLY

    1. for 60/40 Split Double-folding Seat Type LH Side:

      1. Install the rear No. 1 seat assembly (Click here).

    2. for 60/40 Split Double-folding Seat Type RH Side:

      1. Install the rear No. 1 seat assembly (Click here).

    3. for 60/40 Split Slide Walk-in Seat Type LH Side:

      1. Install the rear No. 1 seat assembly (Click here).

    4. for 60/40 Split Slide Walk-in Seat Type RH Side:

      1. Install the rear No. 1 seat assembly (Click here).

  9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Click hereClick hereClick hereClick here).

  10. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT

    1. Check the SRS warning light (Click here).
