AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR(for Sensor 2) REMOVAL

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during air fuel ratio sensor removal/installation are shown below.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER LH (w/ Differential Pressure Sensor)

  2. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (w/ Differential Pressure Sensor)

    CAUTION:

    To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust pipe or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.

      Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector.

    2. Disengage the 4 wire harness clamps.

      Using SST, remove the air fuel ratio sensor from the center exhaust pipe assembly (TWC: Rear Catalyst).

      Note

      If the air fuel ratio sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

      Using SST, remove the air fuel ratio sensor from the front exhaust pipe sub-assembly.
