AUTOMATIC HIGH BEAM SYSTEM DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST

  1. DATA LIST

    Note:

In the table below, the values listed under "Normal Condition" are reference values. Do not depend solely on these reference values when deciding whether a part is faulty or not.

    Tip:

Using the GTS to read the Data List allows the values or states of switches, sensors, actuators and other items to be read without removing any parts. This non-intrusive inspection can be very useful because intermittent conditions or signals may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. Reading the Data List information early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time.

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch off.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus:

      1. for Main Body: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

*1: If CAM NA is displayed, the pre-collision city sensor may have stopped operating due to high temperature.

*2: Although the item is displayed on the GTS, it is not applicable to the vehicle.

  2. ACTIVE TEST

    Tip:

Using the GTS to perform Active Tests allows relays, VSVs, actuators and other items to be operated without removing any parts. This non-intrusive functional inspection can be very useful because intermittent operation may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. Performing Active Tests early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time. Data List information can be displayed while performing Active Tests.

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / PCS/LDA/RSA/LVN / Active Test

    5. Perform Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

      Tip:

The ignition switch must be turned to ON to proceed with the Active Test using the GTS.

      ON / OFF

This Active Test can only be performed when the ignition switch is ON (IG), the vehicle is stopped and the area around the vehicle is dark. (Normal system operation conditions, such as vehicle speed and shift lever position, do not need to be met.)

      Note:

The Active Test can be performed by covering the pre-collision city sensor and other parts with cloth or a similar object, but this may result in a warning being output on the combination meter assembly. If a warning is output, the Active Test cannot be performed.
