HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY(for RHD) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

  1. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

      String

      Tie the string that was passed through the engine compartment room to the end of the hood lock control cable assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Tip:

      Use a length of string long enough to pass through the engine compartment room.

    2. Pass the hood lock control cable assembly through the vehicle body, and then attach each clamp.

    3. Untie the string from the hood lock control cable assembly.

  2. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

    1. Apply MP grease to the sliding parts of the hood lock assembly.

    2. Connect the hood lock control cable assembly to the hood lock assembly.

    3. Install the hood lock assembly with the 3 bolts.

      8.0 N*m

      82 kgf*cm

      71 in.*lbf

    4. w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch:

      Connect the connector.

  3. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER (w/ Cover)

    1. Attach the guide and clip to install the hood lock control cable cover.

  4. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Connect the hood lock control cable assembly to the hood lock control lever assembly.

    2. Attach the 3 claws to install the hood lock control lever assembly.

  5. INSTALL FUSE BOX OPENING COVER

  6. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  7. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  8. INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  9. INSTALL HOOD TO FRONT FENDER SEAL RH

    1. B340664

      Attach the 3 clips to install the hood to front fender seal RH.

    2. Install the clip.

  10. INSTALL HOOD TO FRONT FENDER SEAL LH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure described for the RH side.

  11. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY
