THEFT DETERRENT


  1. OUTLINE


    1. The theft deterrent system* automatically initiates anti-theft alert mode whenever all doors and the luggage compartment door are closed and the doors are locked using the entry lock function or the wireless door lock function.

    2. If any of the doors or the luggage compartment door is forcibly unlocked or opened by illicit means while in anti-theft alert mode, an alarm is activated (a horn intermittently sounds, the hazard warning lights blinks, the headlights blinks, the taillights blinks and the map light lights up). The alarm is also activated if a door is unlocked using a mechanical key inside an electrical key.

    3. The theft deterrent system can be configured using the customization feature. For details, refer to the Repair Manual.
