THROTTLE BODY REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER

  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Loosen the hose clamp and separate the air cleaner cap sub-assembly from the throttle with motor body assembly.

      Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector and separate the 2 wire harness clamps from the air cleaner cap sub-assembly.

      Slide the clip and disconnect the ventilation hose.

      Separate the purge valve (purge VSV) from the air cleaner cap sub-assembly.

      Unlock the 2 clamps and remove the air cleaner cap sub-assembly.

  4. REMOVE THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY

    1. A197835

      Disconnect the throttle with motor body assembly connector and wire harness clamp.

    2. A292412

      Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the 2 water hoses from the throttle with motor body assembly.

    3. Remove the 4 bolts to remove the throttle with motor body assembly and wire harness bracket.

  5. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY GASKET

      Remove the throttle body gasket from the intake manifold.
