RELAY ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

  1. INSPECT LIGHT CUT RELAY (for LHD)

    1. Remove the fuse box opening cover.

      Detach the clamp.

    3. E270410

      Remove the light cut relay.

    4. E256070N01

      Check the resistance.

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection

        Condition

        Specified Condition

        3 - 5

        Battery voltage not applied to terminals 1 and 2

        10 kΩ or higher

        Battery voltage applied to terminals 1 and 2

        Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the light cut relay.

    5. Install the light cut relay.

    6. Install the fuse box opening cover.

  2. INSPECT LIGHT CUT RELAY (for RHD)

    1. Remove the combination meter assembly.

      Click here

    2. E270411

      Remove the light cut relay.

    3. E256070N01

      Check the resistance.

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection

        Condition

        Specified Condition

        3 - 5

        Battery voltage not applied to terminals 1 and 2

        10 kΩ or higher

        Battery voltage applied to terminals 1 and 2

        Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the light cut relay.

    4. Install the light cut relay.

    5. Install the combination meter assembly.
