CONSTRUCTION
A compact, lightweight and high-capacity torque converter is used.
This torque converter has optimally designed fluid passages and impeller configuration, resulting in substantially enhanced transmission efficiency to ensure good starting, acceleration and fuel economy.
The lock-up control multiple disc clutch have been adopted for achieving wide flex lock-up area. And the new lock-up-damper have been equipped for achieving low speed lock-up.
To efficiently cool the friction material during lock-up, the ATF that enters the torque converter first cools the lock-up control multiple disc clutch.
