STARTER (for 2.7 kW Type) DISASSEMBLY


  1. REMOVE STARTER YOKE ASSEMBLY

      Remove the nut and disconnect the lead wire from terminal C.

    2. Remove the 2 through bolts.

    3. Pull out the starter yoke together with the armature.

    4. Remove the felt washer from the armature.

  2. REMOVE STARTER CLUTCH SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 3 screws and magnet starter switch assembly.

    2. Remove the return spring, idler gear, clutch roller, retainer and starter clutch assembly from the starter drive housing.

      Using a magnet hand, remove the steel ball from the clutch shaft hole.

  3. REMOVE STARTER BRUSH HOLDER ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 screws and commutator end frame from the starter yoke.

    2. A01DXHW

      Disconnect the 4 starter brushes from the starter brush holder.


      1. Using a screwdriver, pull back the spring.

      2. Disconnect the brush from the brush holder.

    3. Remove the starter brush holder from the starter yoke.

  4. REMOVE STARTER ARMATURE ASSEMBLY
