A wide view mirror, which contains a wider field of vision for the outer rear area of the vehicle, is used in the outer rear view mirror assembly.
The wide view mirror has a different curvature outside and inside the boundary line that is provided on the mirror surface. The area inside the boundary line provides a field of vision with the same curvature as a conventional mirror. However, the curvature of the area outside the boundary line has been changed in order to provide a field of vision for the outer rear area of the vehicle that is wider than a conventional mirror.

Tech Tips
Objects below the boundary line appear to be farther away than they actually are compared to objects as above the boundary line.
