LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

  1. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. When installing a new lower instrument panel sub-assembly:

      1. Immediately before installing the lower instrument panel sub-assembly, twist and cut off the portions as shown in the illustration.

    2. Install the lower instrument panel sub-assembly with the 2 bolts <A>, bolt <B>, bolt <C>, 9 screws <D> or <E>.

    3. Engage the 2 claws to connect the DLC3.

    4. Connect each connector.

    5. Engage each clamp.

    6. Install the bolt <C>.

    7. Engage the 4 claws to install the wire harness cover.

  2. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL

    1. Engage the 4 claws to install the lower No. 2 instrument panel finish panel.

  3. CONNECT FUEL LID LOCK OPEN LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Engage the claw and 2 guides to connect the fuel lid lock open lever sub-assembly.

  4. INSTALL TIRE PRESSURE WARNING RESET SWITCH (w/ Tire Pressure Warning System)

  5. INSTALL AIRBAG CUT OFF SWITCH CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  6. INSTALL CIGARETTE LIGHTER HOLE COVER

    1. for Radio and Display Type:

      1. Engage the 2 claws.

    2. Connect each connector.

    3. Engage the 2 clips to install the cigarette lighter hole cover.

  7. INSTALL FRONT CONSOLE BOX

      Engage the 4 claws as shown in the illustration.

    2. w/ Entry and Start System:

      1. Connect the connector.

      2. Engage the clamp.

    3. Connect the connector.

    4. Install the front console box with the bolt <A>.

  8. INSTALL REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

  9. INSTALL AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY (except Automatic Air Conditioning System)

  10. INSTALL AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)

  11. INSTALL CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/o Radio Receiver)

    1. Connect each connector.

    2. Engage the 4 clips to install the center instrument cluster finish panel assembly.

  12. INSTALL RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY (for Radio Receiver Type)

  13. INSTALL RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY (for Radio and Display Type)

  14. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL

    1. Connect each connector.

    2. Engage the guide, claw and 4 clips.

    3. Install the lower instrument panel finish panel with the screw <F>.

  15. INSTALL UPPER NO. 1 STEERING COLUMN COVER
