ENGINE UNIT REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY

  2. DISCONNECT FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE WIRE HARNESS

  4. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE

  5. DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS

    Click here

  6. DISCONNECT NO. 2 PCV HOSE

    Click here

  7. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD

  8. REMOVE ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE

    1. A195867

      Remove the engine oil level dipstick.

    2. Remove the bolt and engine oil level dipstick guide.

    3. Remove the O-ring from the engine oil level dipstick guide.

  9. REMOVE MANIFOLD STAY

  10. REMOVE NO. 2 MANIFOLD STAY

    Click here

  11. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

    Click here

  12. REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

    Click here

  13. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD CONVERTER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  14. REMOVE COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY

  15. REMOVE NO. 1 COMPRESSOR MOUNTING BRACKET

    1. A302694

      Remove the 4 bolts and No. 1 compressor mounting bracket.

    2. Using an E6 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 stud bolts from the No. 1 compressor mounting bracket.

  16. REMOVE WATER BY-PASS HOSE

    1. A196855

      Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 1 water by-pass hose from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

    2. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 water by-pass hose from the No. 1 water by-pass pipe.

  17. REMOVE ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH ASSEMBLY

  18. REMOVE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR

  19. REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY
