DECELERATION SENSOR REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note:

  • Use the same procedure for the Rh and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE

  1. PRECAUTION

    Note:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Click hereClick hereClick here).

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Click hereClick hereClick hereClick here).

  3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

  4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

    Click here

  5. REMOVE YAW RATE SENSOR BRACKET

      Remove the bolt and yaw rate sensor bracket.

  6. REMOVE DECELERATION SENSOR

    1. C191841

      Disconnect the deceleration sensor connector.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and deceleration sensor.

      Note:

      Do not remove the sensor from the bracket.
