METER / GAUGE SYSTEM


  1. OUTLINE


    1. An Optitron type combination meter assembly is provided depending on the models.

    2. A multi-information display on which various kinds of information are displayed is integrated.

    3. The combination meter assembly has a built-in meter ECU and buzzer.

  2. MAIN FEATURES


    1. Opening/Ending Ceremony


      1. An opening ceremony which allows for anticipation of a pleasant drive is used. The opening ceremony operates as follows:


        1. When the power switch is turned to on (IG), the opening screen and the needles of the speedometer, hybrid system indicator, engine coolant temperature gauge and fuel gauge illuminate.

        2. Next, the dials of the speedometer, hybrid system indicator, engine coolant temperature gauge and fuel gauge illuminate and the opening screen ends.

        3. Afterwards, the multi-information display illuminates.

      2. An ending ceremony which allows for anticipation of a pleasant drive is used. The ending ceremony operates as follows:


        1. When the power switch is turned off, the multi-information display and the dials of the speedometer, hybrid system indicator, engine coolant temperature gauge and fuel gauge turn off.

        2. Afterwards, the needles of the speedometer, hybrid system indicator, engine coolant temperature gauge and fuel gauge turn off. Also, the ODO display turns off after a certain period of time elapses.

    2. Multi-information Display


      1. The multi-information display is located at the center of the combination meter assembly

      2. The multi-information display shows the following information.

        Item Outline
        Shift Position The current shift position is displayed.
        Outside Temperature
        • The outside temperature is displayed.

        • When the outside temperature drops below 3°C, an ice warning light illuminates to warn the driver to drive with caution due to icy road conditions. After the ice warning light flashes 10 times, the light stays on. When the temperature reaches 5°C, the light goes off.

        Information
        • The following information can be displayed on the multi-information display by switching the tabs.


          • Drive Information

          • Navigation Information*1

          • Audio Information*1, *2

          • Telephone Information*3

          • Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System Information*4/Lane Departure Alert System Information*4

          • Warning Message

          • Settings

        • The tab can be switched using the right/left switch in the steering pad switch assembly.

        Indicator/Warning Light
        • When the display conditions are met, the following indicator lights illuminate.


          • Cruise Control Indicator Light

          • Cruise Control Indicator Light (Vehicle-to-vehicle Distance Control Mode)*4

          • Cruise SET Indicator Light

          • Lane Departure Alert Indicator Light*4

        Vehicle Power Source State
        • The vehicle power source state is displayed.

        • The following indicator light is displayed on the multi-information display.


          • Key Warning Light

        ODO/TRIP Meter
        • The odometer, trip meter A and trip meter B is displayed.

        • The item shown can be switched by pressing the ODO/TRIP switch.

        Light Control Rheostat Meter panel luminance can be changed.

        *4: Models with Toyota Safety Sense

      3. When audio information is being displayed, the audio system can be operated using the steering pad switch assembly.

    3. Hybrid System Indicator


      1. The hybrid system indicator displays the total of the HV battery and engine output as hybrid system output.

      2. The scale for the hybrid system indicator is divided into 3 areas (CHG, ECO, PWR).

        Area Function
        CHG The CHG area indicates when energy is being regenerated.
        ECO
        • The ECO area indicates when the vehicle is being driven Eco-friendly manner.

        • The Hybrid Eco area indicates that the vehicle is driven in a manner that promotes frequent motor-only operation. Based on various conditions, the hybrid vehicle control ECU controls when the engine is stopped to enhance fuel efficiency.

        PWR The PWR area indicates that the Eco-friendly driving range is being exceeded (during full power driving etc.).
