  1. INSPECT WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for RHD)


    1. Measure resistance

        (Adjusting Ring Position)

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Front Wiper Switch
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        z2-11 (MIST) - z2-4 (E) MIST Below 1 Ω
        z2-15 (W_OFF) - z2-4 (E) OFF Below 1 Ω
        z2-12 (+S) - z2-4 (E) AUTO Below 1 Ω
        z2-14 (+1) - z2-4 (E) LO Below 1 Ω
        z2-13 (+2) - z2-4 (E) HI Below 1 Ω
        Washer Switch
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        z2-10 (WF) - z2-4 (E) ON Below 1 Ω
        z2-10 (WF) - z2-4 (E) OFF 10 kΩ or higher
        Adjust Ring
        Tester Connection Condition (Switch) Specified Condition
        z2-5 (VR) - z2-4 (E) P1 1102 to 1218 Ω
        z2-5 (VR) - z2-4 (E) P2 570 to 630 Ω
        z2-5 (VR) - z2-4 (E) P3 256.5 to 283.5 Ω
        z2-5 (VR) - z2-4 (E) P4 Below 1 Ω

        Tech Tips

        If the result is not as specified, replace the windshield wiper switch assembly.

        z2-11 (+1) - z2-5 (E) LO Below 1 Ω
        z2-12 (+2) - z2-5 (E) HI Below 1 Ω
        Washer Switch
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        z2-15 (WF) - z2-5 (E) ON Below 1 Ω
        z2-15 (WF) - z2-5 (E) OFF 10 kΩ or higher
        Adjust Ring
        Tester Connection Condition (Switch) Specified Condition
