THROTTLE BODY REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

  2. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Air Cleaner Cap Support

      *2

      No. 2 Ventilation Hose

      Disengage the 4 clamps.

    2. Slide the clip of the No. 2 ventilation hose.

    3. Disengage the air cleaner cap sub-assembly from the air cleaner cap support, No. 2 ventilation hose and cylinder head cover sub-assembly to remove it.

  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUPPORT

      Slide the clip and remove the air cleaner cap support from the throttle body with motor assembly.

  4. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

    1. A321691

      Disconnect the throttle body with motor assembly connector.

    2. A321692

      Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the water by-pass hose assembly from the throttle body with motor assembly.

    3. A321693

      Remove the 3 bolts and throttle body with motor assembly from the intake manifold.

      Note:

      If the throttle body with motor assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

  5. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY GASKET

    1. A321694

      Remove the throttle body gasket from the intake manifold.
