PROCEDURE

  1. PERFORM ASSIST MAP WRITING

    1. Perform the assist map writing.

      Chassis > EMPS > Utility

      Tester Display

      Signal Check

    2. Check for DTCs.

      Click here

      Chassis > EMPS > Trouble Codes

      Result

      Proceed to

      DTC C1581/26 is output.

      DTC C1581/26 is not output.

      Note:

      DTC C1581/26 is cleared after the assist map is written.

    DTC C1581/26 is not output.

    1. Check if any of the parts listed below have been replaced with an incorrect part in the past.

      Tip:
      • DTC C1581/26 is stored when a part with an incorrect part number is installed for the related parts listed above.

      • When DTC C1581/26 is output when parts have not been exchanged, replace the power steering ECU assembly as it may have an internal malfunction.
