FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Bench Seat Type) DISASSEMBLY

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.


  1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD INNER RH


    1. A01E1M9

      Remove the screw.

    2. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the cushion shield.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  2. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE RH

      Remove the screw and release handle.

  3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedures described for the cushion shield inner RH.

  4. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 4 bolts and seatback.

  5. REMOVE SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD

    1. Remove the hog rings.

    2. Open the 2 pieces of fastening tape. Then open the lower part of the seatback cover with pad.

    3. Roll up the bottom portion of the seatback cover with pad until it is possible to reach the headrest supports inside the seatback assembly.

      Detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 headrest supports.

    5. Remove the seatback cover with pad from the front seatback spring.

  6. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

      Remove the hog rings and front seatback cover from the front seatback pad.

  7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER (for TSAM Made)

    Note

    As the front seat cushion pad is affixed to the front seat cushion frame, do not remove the pad from the frame unless it is necessary to replace the pad. If the pad is removed from the frame, make sure to replace the pad.


    1. w/ Occupant detection sensor:

      Detach the wire harness clamp.

    2. If reusing the front seat cushion pad:


      1. A01DXOUE04

        Remove the hog rings.

      2. A01DWBFE02

        Remove the hog rings and front seat cushion cover from the front seat cushion frame with front seat cushion pad.

    3. If replacing the front seat cushion pad:


      1. A01DXOUE04

        Remove the hog rings.

      2. A01DWBFE02

        Remove the hog rings and front seat cushion cover from the front seat cushion frame with front seat cushion pad.

      3. Remove the front seat cushion pad from the front seat cushion frame.

  8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER (for TMT Made)

    Note

    As the front seat cushion pad is affixed to the front seat cushion frame, do not remove the pad from the frame unless it is necessary to replace the pad. If the pad is removed from the frame, make sure to replace the pad.


    1. w/ Occupant detection sensor:

      Detach the wire harness clamp.

        Remove the hog rings and detach the hooks.

      2. A01DWBFE02

        Remove the hog rings and front seat cushion cover from the front seat cushion frame with front seat cushion pad.

    3. If replacing the front seat cushion pad:


      1. A01DZUAE01

        Remove the hog rings and detach the hooks.

      2. A01DWBFE02

        Remove the hog rings and front seat cushion cover from the front seat cushion frame with front seat cushion pad.

      3. Remove the front seat cushion pad from the front seat cushion frame.
