VALVEMATIC SHAFT SENSOR(w/ Canister Pump Module) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL VALVEMATIC SHAFT SENSOR (CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR)

      *a O-ring

      Clean and degrease the threads of the bolt for the VALVEMATIC shaft sensor (camshaft position sensor).

    2. Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring of the VALVEMATIC shaft sensor (camshaft position sensor).

    3. Install the VALVEMATIC shaft sensor (camshaft position sensor) to the cylinder head cover sub-assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

      Note


      • If the VALVEMATIC shaft sensor (camshaft position sensor) has been struck or dropped, replace it.

      • Make sure that the O-ring is not cracked or does not move out of place during installation.

    4. Connect the VALVEMATIC shaft sensor (camshaft position sensor) connector.
