DIFFERENTIAL OIL SEAL REPLACEMENT

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT OIL SEAL LH

      Using SST, remove the front drive shaft oil seal LH from the multi-mode manual transaxle assembly.

  3. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT OIL SEAL RH

    1. C303273N01

      Using SST, remove the front drive shaft oil seal RH from the multi-mode manual transaxle assembly.

  4. INSTALL FRONT DRIVE SHAFT OIL SEAL LH

    1. C303274C01

      *a

      Depth

      Coat the lip of a new front drive shaft oil seal LH with MP grease.

    2. Using SST and a hammer, install the front drive shaft oil seal LH to the multi-mode manual transaxle assembly.

      Standard Depth

      2.1 to 3.1 mm (0.0827 to 0.122 in.)

      Note:

      Be careful not to damage the lip of the front drive shaft oil seal LH.

  5. INSTALL FRONT DRIVE SHAFT OIL SEAL RH

      *a

      Depth

      Coat the lip of a new front drive shaft oil seal RH with MP grease.

    2. Using SST and a hammer, install the front drive shaft oil seal RH to the multi-mode manual transaxle assembly.

      Standard Depth

      1.7 to 2.7 mm (0.0669 to 0.106 in.)

      Note:

      Be careful not to damage the lip of the front drive shaft oil seal RH.
