DESCRIPTION

The stop light switch assembly and skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) outputs stop light signals to the No. 3 semiconductor power integration ECU. When the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) detects a malfunction relating to the stop light circuit, the driving support ECU is notified via CAN communication, and C1A4B is output.

  • When STPO is OFF, EXO is OFF* and STP and STP2 input signal statuses differ continuously for 0.3 seconds or more

  • The vehicle is equipped with a sub-battery. Therefore, ensure there is no power being supplied to the vehicle when disconnecting or reconnecting the connector of the shift control ECU and when removing or installing the shift control ECU.

  37. CHECK TERMINAL VOLTAGE (STP TERMINAL)


    1. Disconnect the L111 No. 3 semiconductor power integration ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the A9 skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.

    3. Disconnect the A56 ECM connector.

    4. Disconnect the L31 certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector.

    5. Disconnect the G82 shift control ECU connector.

    6. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L111-10 (STP) - Body ground Brake pedal depressed 8 to 14 V

    7. Connect the G82 shift control ECU connector.

    8. Connect the L31 certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector.

    9. Connect the A56 ECM connector.

    11. Connect the L111 No. 3 semiconductor power integration ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the L81 rear combination light assembly RH connector.

    3. Disconnect the L86 rear light lens and body LH connector.

    4. Disconnect the L90 rear light lens and body RH connector.

    5. Disconnect the L71 center stop light wire connector.

    6. Disconnect the A9 skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.

    7. Disconnect the L111 No. 3 semiconductor power integration ECU connector.

    8. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L111-1 (OUT) or A9-5 (STP2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    9. Connect the L111 No. 3 semiconductor power integration ECU connector.

    12. Connect the L90 rear light lens and body RH connector.

    13. Connect the L86 rear light lens and body LH connector.

    14. Connect the L81 rear combination light assembly RH connector.

    15. Connect the L82 rear combination light assembly LH connector.

    3. Disconnect the A9 skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.

    4. Disconnect the A56 ECM connector.

    5. Disconnect the L31 certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector.

    6. Disconnect the G82 shift control ECU connector.

    7. Disconnect the A3 stop light switch assembly connector.

    8. Check the connector case and the terminal for deformation and corrosion.

      Standard
      No deformation or corrosion

    9. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
