FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS

| Main Body ECU (Multiplex Network Body ECU) | The main body ECU receives various signals and illuminates the daytime running light LEDs. | |
| Headlight Dimmer Switch Assembly | Light Control Switch | The light control switch outputs a light control signal and transmits it to the main body ECU. |
| ECM | The ECM outputs an engine speed signal and transmits it to the main body ECU. | |
| Parking Brake Switch Assembly | Detects whether the parking brake is on or off and transmits a signal to the main body ECU. | |
| DRL Relay | Supplies power to the LEDs for daytime running lights. | |
SYSTEM CONTROL
The daytime running light system is enabled when the conditions given below are met:
| Condition | Ignition switch is ON. |
| Light control switch is in off*1 or AUTO*2 position (when taillight is not being controlled by the automatic light control system). | |
| Engine is running. | |
| Parking brake is off. |
*1: Models with light control switch (off position)
*2: Models with automatic light control system
