EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM

  1. OUTLINE

    1. Exhaust Emission Control System

      1. An oxidation catalyst is used to reduce emissions in the exhaust gas.*1

      2. An Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system is used to reduce emissions in the exhaust gas.

      3. In order to comply with emission regulations, a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) catalyst is used to effectively collect and purify CO, HC and Particulate Matter (PM) contained in exhaust gas.*2

      4. Due to the use of the DPF, catalyst support control that combusts and purges PM accumulated in the DPF is used for DPF regeneration.*2

      5. A UREA SCR system is used to reduce NOx.*3

        • *1: Except models compliant with EURO 2 emission regulation

        • *2: Models with catalyst support control

        • *3: Models with UREA SCR system
