  • Throttle motor (throttle body with motor assembly)

  • Wire harness or connector

Note:

If the throttle body with motor assembly is repaired or replaced, perform BPM Learning Reset.

PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK ANY OTHER DTCS OUTPUT (IN ADDITION TO DTC P3034)

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.

    5. Check for DTCs.

      Powertrain > Engine > Trouble Codes

      Proceed to

      DTC P3034 is output

      DTC P3034 and other DTCs are output

      Tip:

      If DTC P3034 and P0121, P0122, P0123, P0638, P1153, P2107, P2122, P2123, P2125, P2176 or P2685 are output simultaneously, troubleshoot for DTC P0121, P0122, P0123, P0638, P1153, P2107, P2122, P2123, P2125, P2176 or P2685 first.

  2. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Utility / ECU Reset / BPM Learning Value Reset.

      Powertrain > Engine > Utility

      Tester Display

      ECU Reset

    5. Perform BPM Learning Reset.

    6. Start the engine and wait until the engine idle speed becomes within the specified range.

  3. CHECK WHETHER DTC OUTPUT RECURS (DTC P3034)

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Clear the DTCs.

      Powertrain > Engine > Clear DTCs

    5. Turn the ignition switch off and wait for a few minutes.

    6. Perform the drive test.

    7. Turn the GTS on.

    8. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.

    9. Check for DTCs.

      Powertrain > Engine > Trouble Codes

  4. REPLACE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

    1. Replace the throttle body with motor assembly.

  5. CHECK WHETHER DTC OUTPUT RECURS (DTC P3034)

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.
