VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE (for EGR Cut)


    1. Inspect the vacuum switching valve.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        1 - 2 20°C (68°F) 37 to 44 Ω

        1 - Body ground

        2 - Body ground

        		 20°C (68°F) 1 MΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the vacuum switching valve.

    2. Check the operation of the vacuum switching valve.

        Attach a vacuum pump to port E and check that air does not flow from the filter to port E.

        Apply battery voltage across terminals 1 and 2.

      3. Attach a vacuum pump to port E and check that air flows from the filter to port E.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the vacuum switching valve.
