PROCEDURE
DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
REMOVE NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER
REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE
Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 ventilation hose from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.
Disengage the 2 clamps.
Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector and disengage the wire harness clamp.
Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the air cleaner hose assembly from the throttle body assembly.
Disengage the 2 guides and remove the air cleaner cap with air cleaner hose from the air cleaner case sub-assembly.
REMOVE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY

Disconnect the throttle body assembly connector.
Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 1 water by-pass hose and No. 2 water by-pass hose from the throttle body assembly.

w/ Stud Bolt:
Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and throttle body assembly from the intake manifold.
Note
If the throttle body assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.
w/o Stud Bolt:
Remove the 4 bolts and throttle body assembly from the intake manifold.
Note
If the throttle body assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.
REMOVE THROTTLE BODY GASKET
Remove the throttle body gasket from the intake manifold.
