METER / GAUGE SYSTEM


  1. OUTLINE


    1. The combination meter assembly has a built-in meter ECU and buzzer.

    2. Depending on the specifications of the vehicle, the combination meter has a 4.2 inch or 7 inch multi-information display.

    3. A multi-information display on which various kinds of information is displayed is integrated.

    4. Headup Display


      1. A headup display has been adopted to enable the driver to see driving information more easily within their field of view.

      2. The meter mirror sub-assembly and the structure of the windshield glass enables the headup display to project an image as if it is displayed outside of the windshield glass.

  2. MAIN FEATURES


    1. Combination Meter Assembly (Models with 4.2 Inch Multi-information Display)


      1. Opening/Ending Ceremony


        • An opening ceremony which allows for anticipation of a pleasant drive is used. The opening ceremony operates as follows:

          Tech Tips

          The following illustration shows the flow of the opening and ending ceremony from when the ignition switch is off and then the engine is started, to when the ignition switch is turned off again.


          1. When the ignition switch is turned on (IG), the multi-information display illuminate.

          2. Then, the needles, gauges and panels of the speedometer, tachometer, engine coolant temperature gauge and fuel gauge illuminate.

          3. When the ignition switch is turned off, only the odometer is displayed on the multi-information display.

          4. The needles, gauges and panels of the speedometer, tachometer, engine coolant temperature gauge and fuel gauge fade out.

          5. Then, the odometer fade out.

      2. Multi-information Display


        • The multi-information display is located at the center of the combination meter assembly.

        • The multi-information display shows the following information.

          Item Outline
          Shift Position Indicator The current shift position is displayed.
          Outside Temperature
          • The outside temperature is displayed.

          • When the outside temperature drops below 3°C (37°F), an ice warning to warn the driver to drive with caution due to possibly icy road conditions. After the ice warning flashes 10 times, the ice warning stay on. When the temperature reaches 5°C (41°F), the ice warning goes off.

          Indicator/Warning
          • When the display conditions are met, the following indicators illuminate.


            • Cruise Control Indicator*1, *2

            • Cruise Control Indicator (Constant Speed Control Mode)*3

            • Cruise Control Indicator (Vehicle-to-Vehicle Distance Control Mode)*3

            • Cruise SET Indicator*2, *3

            • Lane Departure Alert Indicator*3

          Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System/Lane Departure Alert System State*3 Displays the operating state of the dynamic radar cruise control system and lane departure alert system
          Information
          • The following information can be displayed on the multi-information display by switching the tabs.


            • Drive Information Tab

            • Warning Message Tab

            • Settings Tab

          Tech Tips

          The tab can be switched using the RIGHT/LEFT switch of the steering pad switch assembly.

          Interrupt Display
          • When the display conditions are met, the following screen is interrupt display.


            • Advisory Display/Warning Display

            • Driving Assist System Information*3

            • Rheostat

          ODO/TRIP Meter
          • The odometer, trip meter A or trip meter B are displayed.

          • The item shown can be switched by pressing the ODO/TRIP switch.

          Light Control Rheostat Meter panel luminance can be changed by using the rheostat switch.

          Tech Tips

          The item shown can be changed using the UP/DOWN switch of the steering pad switch assembly.

    2. Combination Meter Assembly (Models with 7 Inch Multi-information Display)


      1. Opening/Ending Ceremony


        1. When the ignition switch is turned on (IG), the needles, gauges and panels of the speedometer, tachometer, engine coolant temperature gauge and fuel gauge illuminate.

        2. The multi-information display illuminate.

        3. When the ignition switch is turned off, only the odometer is displayed on the multi-information display.

          The audio source or an audio track can be selected.

          Tech Tips

          When audio information is being displayed, the audio system can be operated using the steering pad switch assembly.

        • The vehicle information tab shows the following information

          Tire Pressure Status*1
          • Receives and displays the tire pressure of each tire.

          • Tire pressure is displayed as blank when the tire pressure signal cannot be received.

          • The tire pressure value is highlighted to warn the driver if the tire pressure drops below the threshold.

          System Status
          • The following items can be displayed.


            • Pre-collision system*2

            • Clearance sonar system*3

            • Blind spot monitor system*4

            • RCTA*4

          Tech Tips

          When changing the items above, press the up or down switch of the steering pad switch assembly to navigate to the desired item, then press the OK switch to select.

          Tech Tips

          The tire pressure status or system status can be selected by pressing the left/right switch of the steering pad switch assembly.
