DESCRIPTION

If a malfunction in the speed sensor signal circuit, deceleration sensor circuit*1 or acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) circuit*2 occurs, the 4WD ECU assembly will output this DTC.

The airbag sensor assembly has a built-in acceleration sensor.

When one of the following conditions is met:

  1. Wheel speed sensor malfunction is received from the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly)

  2. Deceleration sensor malfunction is received from skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly)*1

  3. Acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) malfunction is received from skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly)*2

  • Brake control system (Speed sensor circuit)

  • Brake control system (Deceleration sensor circuit)*1

  • Skid control ECU (Brake actuator assembly)

  • Acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) circuit*2

  • 4WD ECU assembly

PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK FOR DTC (BRAKE CONTROL SYSTEM)

    1. Clear the DTC.

      w/o VSC:Click here

      w/ VSC:Click here

      Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRC > Clear DTCs

    2. Turn the ignition switch off.

    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON again.

    4. Drive the vehicle, accelerate to a speed of 20 km/h (12 mph) or more, and check if the speed sensor DTC (brake control system DTC) is output.

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Four Wheel Drive / Data List.
