LED HEADLIGHT SYSTEM
The light control ECU operates in fail-safe mode if any of the following abnormalities are detected.
| Item | Abnormality Detection Condition | Return Condition |
|---|---|---|
| Abnormal output (Open or Short) |
Abnormal LED driver module output voltage is detected. | When open circuit occurred:
When short circuit occurred:
|
| Abnormal input voltage (Low input voltage)* |
Abnormally low LED driver power supply voltage (6 V or less) is detected. | Normal power source voltage (10 to 16 V) is detected. |
| Abnormal FAN rotation speed | Headlight cooling fan operation is abnormal. | Headlight cooling fan operation speed of 53.4 Hz or more is detected for 120 seconds or more. |
*: When the headlights are on and the input voltage is between 6 and 10 V, the headlights dim.
AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SYSTEM
If the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) detects a malfunction in the automatic light control sensor, the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) performs fail-safe control to prohibit the automatic light control. If the low beam headlights and taillights are on, the lights will remain on until the light control switch is turned off.
