NAVIGATION SYSTEM Reverse Signal Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The navigation receiver assembly receives a reverse signal from the park/neutral position switch assembly*1 or back-up light switch assembly*2.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK VEHICLE SIGNAL (OPERATION CHECK)


    1. A01E310

      Enter the "Vehicle Signal Check Mode" screen. Refer to check Vehicle Signal in Operation Check Click here.

    2. Check that the display changes between ON and OFF according to the shift lever position.

      Tech Tips

      This display is updated once per second. As a result, it is normal for the display to lag behind the actual shift lever position.

  2. CHECK NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY

    1. Disconnect the N9 navigation receiver assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N9-2 (REV) - Body ground Ignition switch ON, shift lever in R 7.5 to 14 V
      N9-2 (REV) - Body ground Ignition switch ON, shift lever not in R Below 1 V

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the N9 navigation receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the N8 park/neutral position switch assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N9-2 (REV) - N8-1 (RL) Always Below 1 Ω
      N9-2 (REV) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - BACK-UP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the N9 navigation receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the B1 back-up light switch assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N9-2 (REV) - B1-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      N9-2 (REV) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
