OIL PAN REMOVAL
PROCEDURE
REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
REMOVE NO. 1 TRANSMISSION OIL FILLER TUBE

Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the overflow plug and gasket from the continuously variable transaxle assembly.

No. 1 Transmission Oil Filler Tube
Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the No. 1 transmission oil filler tube from the transaxle oil pan sub-assembly and drain the continuously variable transaxle fluid.

REMOVE TRANSAXLE OIL PAN SUB-ASSEMBLY

Remove the 19 bolts and transaxle oil pan sub-assembly from the continuously variable transaxle assembly.
Note:Some fluid will remain in the transaxle oil pan sub-assembly. To prevent the fluid from spilling, place a container under the oil pan, and then carefully remove all the pan bolts and transaxle oil pan sub-assembly.
Remove the gasket from the transaxle oil pan sub-assembly.
Remove the 3 magnets from the transaxle oil pan sub-assembly.
Note:Clean the oil pan and remove any metal particles, sludge, etc.
Clean off any metal particles that adhere to the magnets.
