BRAKE PEDAL(for LHD) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  3. REMOVE STOP LIGHT SWITCH MOUNTING ADJUSTER

  4. SEPARATE CLUTCH RELEASE CABLE ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle)

    1. While pushing the clutch release fork lever, turn the cable end clamp to loosen the clutch release cable assembly.

      Push the clutch release fork lever

      Turn

      Separate the clutch release cable assembly

    2. Separate the clutch release cable assembly from the manual transaxle assembly.

      Separate the clutch release cable assembly from the clutch pedal sub-assembly.

  5. REMOVE CLUTCH PEDAL SPRING (for Manual Transaxle)

      Remove the clutch pedal spring from the brake pedal support assembly.

  6. REMOVE PUSH ROD PIN

      Remove the clip and push rod pin.

  7. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT ASSEMBLY

      1. Disconnect the connector (A) from the clutch start switch assembly or connector housing.

      2. Disconnect the connector (B) from the clutch switch assembly and disengage the wire harness clamp (a).

    2. Disengage the 2 wire harness clamps (b, c) from the brake pedal support assembly.

    3. Remove the bolt to separate the brake pedal support assembly from the instrument panel reinforcement assembly.

      Disengage the wire harness clamp from the stud bolt of the brake booster assembly.

      Remove the bolt, 4 nuts and brake pedal support assembly.

      Remove the nut from the brake pedal support assembly.
