COMMON RAIL INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

  1. INSPECT COMMON RAIL ASSEMBLY

    1. Inspect the fuel pressure sensor.

        Component without harness connected

        (Fuel Pressure sensor)

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Tip:

        Perform the inspection with no fuel pressure applied.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the common rail assembly.

    2. Inspect the pressure control valve.

        (Pressure Control Valve)

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        20°C (68°F)

        0.96 to 1.16 Ω
        Tip:

        The temperature indicated in "Condition" is the temperature of the pressure control valve.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the common rail assembly.
