DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when a malfunction is detected in the vehicle stability control system or electric parking brake system. Check the vehicle stability control system and electric parking brake system when DTC P157800 is stored.

    w/o Full-speed range following function:

  • While the vehicle speed is 36 km/h (22 mph) or more and the dynamic radar cruise control system is operating, a malfunction in the vehicle stability control system is detected for 0.2 seconds or more.

  • While the vehicle speed is 36 km/h (22 mph) or more and the dynamic radar cruise control system is operating, a malfunction in the electric parking brake system is detected for 0.2 seconds or more.


    w/ Full-speed range following function:

  • While the vehicle speed is 5 km/h (3 mph) or more and the dynamic radar cruise control system is operating, a malfunction in the vehicle stability control system is detected for 0.2 seconds or more.

  • While the vehicle speed is 5 km/h (3 mph) or more and the dynamic radar cruise control system is operating, a malfunction in the electric parking brake system is detected for 0.2 seconds or more.

  • Vehicle stability control system

  • Electric parking brake system

  • Skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly)

  • ECM

  • First check the CAN communication system by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting. After checking that there are no malfunctions in the CAN communication system, proceed with troubleshooting

  1. CHECK FOR DTCs (VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM AND ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SYSTEM)

  2. CHECK FOR DTCs (RADAR CRUISE 1)


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Powertrain > Cruise Control > Clear DTCs

    2. Perform the following to make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      Tech Tips

      If the detection conditions are not met, the malfunction cannot be detected.


      1. Drive the vehicle at a speed for which dynamic radar cruise control operation is possible.

      2. Turn the cruise control system on using the cruise control main switch (ON/OFF button).

      3. w/ Full-speed range following function: Drive the vehicle at 5 km/h (3 mph) or more for 0.2 seconds or more.

        w/o Full-speed range following function: Drive the vehicle at 36 km/h (22 mph) or more for 0.2 seconds or more.

    3. Check for DTCs.
