HEATED WINDSHIELD DEFROSTER SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK


  1. CHECK HEATED WINDSHIELD DEFROSTER SYSTEM


    1. Start the engine.

    2. Check that the windshield glass (heated windshield defroster LH and heated windshield defroster RH) becomes warm by operating the No. 2 combination switch assembly (windshield deicer switch).

    3. Confirm that heated windshield defroster system operation stops after approximately 4 minutes.

      Note

      If the ambient temperature is 5°C (41°F) or higher, or if a malfunction of the ambient temperature sensor (thermistor assembly) is detected, the EHW NO. 1 relay and EHW NO. 2 relay will be deactivated and the No. 2 combination switch assembly (windshield deicer switch) indicator light will blink.
