WATER PUMP ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER

    Click here

  3. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

    Click here

  4. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT

    Click here

  5. INSPECT WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY

    1. A249758

      Turn the pulley and check that the water pump bearing moves smoothly and quietly.

      If necessary, replace the water pump assembly.

    2. Make sure that there are no drops of coolant on the water pump housing.

      If necessary, replace the water pump assembly.

  6. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT

  7. ADJUST V-RIBBED BELT

  8. INSPECT V-RIBBED BELT

    Click here

  9. INSTALL REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

    Click here

  10. INSTALL NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER

    Click here

  11. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER
