GLOW PLUG(w/ Glow Plug Controller) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

  1. INSTALL GLOW PLUG ASSEMBLY

    1. Clean the glow plug assembly installation holes in the cylinder head sub-assembly.

    2. Using a 10 mm deep socket wrench, install the 4 glow plug assemblies.

      12.5 N*m

      127 kgf*cm

      9 ft.*lbf

  2. INSTALL NO. 1 GLOW PLUG CONNECTOR

    1. Install the No. 1 glow plug connector to the glow plug assemblies with the 4 nuts.

      2.2 N*m

      22 kgf*cm

      19 in.*lbf

    2. Install the 4 glow plug screw grommets to the glow plug assemblies.

      Note:

      Push the glow plug screw grommet into the threaded portion of the glow plug assembly by hand, and then turn it clockwise.

    3. Engage the clamp.

    4. Connect the No. 1 glow plug connector connector.

  3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
