DESCRIPTION

The power windows operate by using the power window regulator master switch assembly or power window regulator switch assembly.

The power window regulator master switch assembly and power window regulator switch assembly connect the same power supply and ground lines.

  1. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the power window regulator master switch assembly.

    2. Inspect the power window regulator master switch assembly.

      Click here

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY)

    1. for LHD

      1. Disconnect the 3G driver side junction block assembly connector.

      2. Disconnect the H5 power window regulator master switch assembly connector.

      3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection

        Condition

        Specified Condition

        3G-8 - H5-2 (B)

        Always

        Below 1 Ω

        3G-8 or H5-2 (B) - Body ground

        Always

        10 kΩ or higher

    2. for RHD

      1. Disconnect the 3G driver side junction block assembly connector.

      2. Disconnect the G5 power window regulator master switch assembly connector.

      3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        3G-8 - G5-2 (B)

        Below 1 Ω

        3G-8 or G5-2 (B) - Body ground

      1. Disconnect the G5 power window regulator master switch assembly connector.
